Hello, this is me, Jane

Crochet is my special passion having worked with crochet, knitting and fabric since childhood. This is why I run crochet workshops so others can learn and be inspired. I enjoy experimenting using stitches and yarn in different ways and designing patterns.

I also work as a freelance Technical Editor, currently with Inside Crochet (IC) and Disney Crochet magazines, leaving little time to keep up my love of Art History.

Welcome to my news BLOG venture. Still very much work in progress!!

April 2023

My ShortRow Crochet Cushion (featured in IC157) was inspired by the ever-changing shades of Sirdar's Jewelspun 'Glacier' yarn.

The ShortRow crochet is worked in double crochet stitch creating what looks like 'wedges' stacked on top of each other.

My 'Colours of the Sky' Throw (featured in IC152) was inspired by Sirdar Jewelspun's 'Sandstone Sunset' and 'Golden Feldspar' to reflect the sky as we move through autumn and into winter.

The  squares were crocheted together with slip stitch to create a reversible throw. A project for beginners.

July 2022

My 'Colour Block' Throw (featured in IC149) is the perfect project to use up your yarn stash. Choose nine shades and follow the chart to create the pattern of colours.

The throw is made up of 13 columns, stitched together in a way to 'mirror' the colour changes of each square/rectangle within the column.

Another great beginners project!
